First of all i would like to be clear on something which not a lot of people know and that is that it is not illegal for me to change your mileage on your vehicle neither is it illegal for you to ask me to change it to whatever you want, But it is illegal for the person having the mileage changed to only be having the mileage change to profit on a sale of that vehicle.

Mileage correction is the process of adjusting or re-calibrating the number of miles your odometer displays on your digital dashboard. I provide a mobile mileage correction service using top end equipment.

Mileage correction is carried out in one of two ways:

Diagnostic Process

The diagnostic process is carried out by plugging our mileage correction equipment into the OBD-II (On Board Diagnostic Connector) port of your car. Once connected the milage correction equipment will search your cars electrical systems for all mileage data and then retrieve and edit it and put it back into your car.

Direct Process

In 25% of cars the dashboard is removed from the car and stripped down to gain access to the EEPROM (Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory device). Once we have access to the EEPROM we edit the data within to manipulate the mileage reading. The process varies from car to car and requires a vast amount of knowledge, experience and the best available equipment.

Why do mileage correction?

There are many reasons why you might need a mileage correction service, below are a few examples. Please remember the cost will vary depending on where you are located and the make and model of car.

Question 1

I have a Mitsubishi Colt that I recently imported from Cyprus that reads in kilometres and need to have it
changed to miles for the IVA (independent vehicle test) test in order for me to import the vehicle into the UK. Mitsubishi have quoted £300 for the dashboard. Can Dash Master help??

Question 2

I have a Peugeot 406 which was involved in a collision to the offside rear and when the car was returned from the paint shop the mileage showed 545000 miles. Peugeot had no explanation for this and quoted me £1400 to replace the dashboard and BSI (Built-in Systems Interface).
